The Killers @ St. Augustine Amphitheatre on October 1st.

I scored two tickets, thanks to my good buddy Jerry who never seems to miss a LIVE music show. The Killers are one of my favorite bands, and I only found out about the upcoming show the day before tickets went on sale. My wife and I are really looking forward to going.

1,800 Drones Form a Globe In The Sky Over Tokyo, Japan 2021 Olympic Opening Ceremony (Video)

This would’ve been awesome to see in person. I don’t even want to know what computer program someone used to choreograph these flying robots.

Jason Isbell @ St. Augustine Ampitheatre on 7/11/2021

He is one of the best songwriters in the past 20 years, maybe one of the best songwriters ever. I got the chance to see him LIVE for the first time this past Sunday, thanks to my very awesome significant other for getting me tickets for a Father’s Day gift. This was my first Father’s Day as a dad. I haven’t mentioned yet that we now both have our first child, a beautiful baby girl. She is awesome and fun! Anyway, she knows I like Jason Isbell and surprised me with tickets. Granny (my mom) babysat for us. It was a great show, and we got free upgrades on our seats because my company was catering the show for Jason and his opening act, the legendary Marty Stuart, so we ended up in the pit, not from from the stage at all. Marty and Jason were both great, but I really wish Jason Isbell would’ve played Decoration Day, and Outfit, two of my all-time favorite songs. He must be tired of performing them all the time, because he didn’t do either of them. Oh well, still a great show.

UFC 264 Poirier vs. McGregor 3 Trilogy

I’m was off work early-ish last Saturday night, and home in time to watch Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier 3. I fully expected Dustin Poirier to win, but I did not expect McGregor to break his leg like he did. That kind of injury usually happens when someone throws a kick that gets blocked, but Saturday night, McGregor just kind of sat back on his butt when his calf/ankle folded over. Whatever caused it, that kind of shin injury seems to be happening more often in recent years. I remember when we first started seeing it in MMA, it was (and still is) one of the most gruesome injuries in the sport. I think the first one I remember seeing was Jose “Pele” Landis-John vs. Brian Gassaway back in 2005, then Corey Hill in 2008 (RIP), Anderson Silva, etc…

Back at it years later..

I’ve had this domain (perryandrews.com) for years, probably close to two decades. Once upon a time I had a cool blog and posted interesting things, weird videos, and old photos. I had a photo gallery of vintage collectables. Somehow I let my hosting plan slip away a few years ago and it all went away. I kept the domain name, but everything online was gone. I still have some old database back-ups, not sure how complete they are, though. One day I’ll try to get someone to come over and see if they can integrate my old stuff here, or just get my old blog going again. Otherwise, here I am, back again, but starting from scratch. Which, really isn’t a big deal. I will still do cool things on here.
